A New Year To Be A Better Person

As another year comes to an end we all start to make plans on ending a year of good and bad with a bang. As the world is pressured upon us we made it through another year successfully. We may have lost a few people but they’re still with us in spirit. Today I decided to release this and it’s been weighing on my mind for a while. I always ponder what the next year has to offer me and what is  going to happen with the people in my life and who’s still going to be there and who’s going to walk away. On that note I met a girl hopefully she reads this. (Fingers Crossed… Mhmm AMANDA). The first thought is our words are more powerful than we realize sometimes we can hurt people and how many people have we hurt in moment with our words? The second thought is how aware are we of opportunities in our life? And are we willing to take chances to make something of it? Now to everybody whose down this New Years Eve trust me there is somebody out there for you it takes time to find others don’t trip today because you don’t have a girl on your side. Be joyous in the fact that you’re alive, that you have good health; you have a family, an education. Sometimes we take so many things for granted in our lives and don’t realize the value of it until we lose it. Lastly I have a few words of advice and a few in vanity. In this New Year I ask everybody to be more honest to those you care about. Even if it’s going to hurt them they need to know. Lying never solved anything. And my last advice is Guys learn how to treat women like they are your little sister, your mom, your daughter. Treat them right. I understand no woman or man is perfect but the other person has to realize that. Ladies appreciate your men more even if it’s for the little things it matters. Guys do so much to make women happy and they never get enough credit for it.  We all make mistakes but if we judge others or make decisions based on past experiences loneliness would be the only outcome. My vanity advice is finding somebody you do find attractive. In no way am I saying go find the thickest girl that you can find. Think about it, after that body starts to sag and wear down what’s really left? Find somebody you can connect with on an intellectual, spiritual level.  That’s the key to a successful relationship. But hey find somebody that you like looking at though physically. Now I understand we all have fears and in the New Year; it’s becoming evident that the world ending hype is making people think about their fears even more. I understand fear but we have to find a self preserving understanding that the fears we have is the same thing that’s limiting us from succeeding or making a decision that could potentially be life changing. On that account a person that I’ve grown up with and proven that hard work does pay off is Pierce Simpson I got MAD RESPECT for this dude. His hard work, perseverance and dream have led him to a great start for his brand #AA5917 (http://ambitionavenue5917.com/) Go buy something!!! GET YOU A CREW NECK!!!

As the year ends tonight we have to ask ourselves what how are we going to be better next year. And what did we do in the last.  Life is about progression. Stagnant lives just aren’t that fun. We have to grow through our time on this earth. Live, Love, Learn!!! A few thoughts I’d like to get out there is that life has a way of kicking you when you’re down and out but it’s our priority to get back up and keep going in the face of adversity. This New Year isn’t going to be that perfect year but we can make it such. Staying positive is the key to that. Now to the big idea. How many of us have made a New Year’s Resolution this year or past and failed at it? I know I have but today I’d like to bring you a realistic resolution. Become a better person than you are today or yesterday or a few years ago. We have the potential to do whatever be whatever we want but we have to be willing to work hard for that. Be happier, Live More, Make mistakes but learn from them, donate some money to a charity. We wait till the New Year starts to make a change but we should be making positive changes when the time is right. As Gandhi said

Be the change you want to see in the world”

So be the light in somebody’s dark world, be the person that makes people smile when you walk into a room. Be the guy every woman wants to be with. Ladies be the girl that the right guy wants to be with. As I was I was talking to my sister a few weeks ago she told me this and it hit me how true it was. To be a better person you have to understand your faults and correct them or take them out of your life. As the New Year starts think about the good you can create and how you can be better and all you ladies take a Shot for Me!! Tonight as everybody has made their plans I ask you stay SAFE. I’d like to see yall alive on the 2nd.

Until Next Time I Wish You Peace, Respect, Love and Happiness.

Social Acceptability And Understanding

Alright so I was talkin to my brother about what we deem as acceptable in our society better yet our generation has allowed to become acceptable. We have come to where the norm is everybody is tryna find a "bad bitch" and every guy has to have money to find a good girl or a bad bitch. So I ask you again what is socially acceptable? Not to blame the hip hop culture but it has been a monicker of what success is. Like Jay-Z said "I got the hottest girl wearing my chain" but at the same time people just listen to music and take it for face value. If your a jay-z fan you'd understand every song he's created has a in-depth meaning behind the lyrics. Society doesn't care about the meaning or reasoning behind that. Why else do you think today hip hop culture will buy an album about luxury before a story about hardship? We as a generation grew up under the umbrella of "Big Pimpin", "Roses",just to name a few and all the other great classics of the nineties. All this music had meaning behind it and this is such why we revere these people as the greats if nothin else how many rappers have made a song about their mothers in the past 20 years? Tupac (Dear Mama), Jay-Z (Blueprint-Momma Loves me) and Kanye West (Hey Mama). My point is music has become about any and everything else but the things that matter. Who's dying? Who's your motivation to where you got? It's become acceptable to go get a hit record about getting some pussy or beef about who has more money, I understand it matter to them but why does it matter so much to our society who has the most when none of their ends end up in our pockets? The conversation I had with Sierra made me realize that our society is an obscure portrayal of nothing but a culture that feeds the rich more and gives hope to those who don't. In our society especially the one I've known. If your a smoker, drinker, partier your put into a class of popularity, if your decisions is counter- fitting to what the popular crowd wants your an outsider in other words "your not
Cool or you ain't shit". And to clarify that statement if you party, drink, smoke for your own benefit and recreational relaxation by all means do it. But I see too many people wanting to be a part of the "in crowd" I feel that society has put a higher value on on the dollar bill and it's ability to buy then the actual value of it. If your money is good you got it made. If your working on your own and your not buying a pair of Concords or the next iPhone then where does that leave acceptance. In the hip hop culture it has become a necessity to have multiple pairs of Jordan's it's a visual of money. I don't blame the rappers for making people want nice things but I do blame the generation that made it to where the clothes you wear or shoes you rock is a symbol of social status. We see thing at face value and our education doesn't do enough justice to make us want to think more. Intelligence is a thing of the past. Athletic skill is connoted as a separate class in itself. But the point is is social acceptability what we strive to achieve or a thought that pushes us to be "cooler/popular"? Now onto the understanding topic it's simple nobody will ever really understand one another it's almost impossible. Our experiences are different and we hope to find another person that will try to understand without judging others for their past or decisions. But that doesn't happen enough. The social hierarchy comes back and if you ain't high enough your chances of getting with somebody is slim to none. Not blame women but they degrade themselves being a "bad bitch" or wanting to be a hoe and the males in our society perpetuate that and make it the norm or the ones they want. But in the words of Andre 3000 "real guys go for real down to mars girls". On the note of thought I ask you to think about what is really socially acceptable and why do we become the people we are and what are we after in our everyday lives? Are you better then I am and based on what reason?

Until I got something else to talk to about I wish you Peace, Love, Respect and Happiness.

Happiness is The Eternal Search

I've been putting this off for a while but I wanted to have the right perspective in mind before I did write and make a statement about happiness. Alright so the past few months I've been in a good place in life. I have a niece on the way which I'm no where near ready for but I'm still excited to see her and be there for her. My brother who I keep so dear to me is in a good place in life right now. With his girlfriend that he talks about with the upmost brilliance, vigor and joy. (And if your reading this Alyssa DeVilbiss he likes you dont give up thats what makes a relationship last and the rest of this blog) And how he's wanted to be in this place for a while but never could achieve it. And as to my case I've met a girl named Amanda who I feel is kind hearted person who just needs somebody good to do and be good to and for her. And to her i have a few words. To venture into something never known shows signs of courage and to never have tried is to be at a loss. Don't lose something you haven't found yet. Now back to the topic. HAPPINESS. If you live life you'd understand that happiness is a pursuit after it and it's never really achieved. You want to be happy but your only able to get bits and pieces and moments that sparsely find their way to you. To understand happiness in this world you have to become accustomed to what pain and sorrow is or you'll never know why happiness is so great. Happiness is a aphrodisiac that we long for consciously or sub-consciously. We crave it. As much as we say we don't those simple moments are what we remember as memories. That moment that you find true love ( I know I found it once), that first kiss, that moment your able to say you love them without being pressured, the firsts that occurs and the moments you realize what life is offering you that's what your looking for. Happiness creates vivaciousness, it either creates conceit or humility and shows you answers to what you've always questioned. To say happiness is dope or awesome would be an understatement and a great misunderstanding. Happiness is love, happiness is passion, happiness is caring for someone even though your mind is clouded with doubt. Happiness is a progression of ourselves trying to achieve something that we hope to attain some day or at least continue going after it. I found that loneliness was a painful place to be a lot of the time when the world and life came crumbling down around me metaphorically and physically. But I see the bigger picture of what I've been looking for in other words what I've been chasing. As I was talking to somebody as late as it had been I was asked a very deep thoughtful question. "What do you want out of a relationship" and the first ideal I wanted and said was happiness. Without happiness or acceptance nothing will flourish the second was opportunity and the last was future. To explain those i will keep it short and simple. I want the opportunity to prove what I have to offer and a future that's positive and worth it. As I lay to rest I ask everyone who reads this.

Have you found the enlightenment of happiness? Are you happy? How far have you traveled to find happiness and how much farther are you willing to go? Does a relationship provide you with happiness or something else materialistic. What do you believe in?

To leave a thought in a mind is to change a prior perspective. To make them think is to impact their lives. To be questioned and answered is intellect.

Most importantly. To be happy is to be satisfied or accepting of life's troubles, gifts, faults and blessings. I wish you all happiness and I hope if you haven't found it that you do soon. Life isn't worth it without being happy.

Until next time I hope for you to find Peace, Respect, Love and Happiness.
