Sorry this blog is long but I had a lot to say. So Valentines Day is around the corner so I thought it was fitting to write about it. I know there's a certain sense of animosity and stress amongst the "single" community about this topic. Maybe it's the lonely feeling that this occasion brings. Thought provoking that "Where's my Girlfriend/Boyfriend at?" or if you'll ever find that special person. A few thoughts i;d like to invoke for this month are insecurities, trust issues, the reason why your in a relationship, the idea of perfect relationships. Primarily insecurities have become a problem for both men and women. Women get the more brunt end of it as they are the center piece of our society as much as we would like to think otherwise so the limelight is more commonly on them. With women theres always a large array of insecurities that they face from physical attributes, personality, and even the social acceptance amongts their peers. To begin with physical is the easiest way for me to go into detail. Women are being more and more insecure about the way their make up looks, their clothes and their physical attributes. To reitterate something i feel is a lost ideal is the essence of what beauty is. Its the total ecomposition of the personality that a woman has and the ability to focus on their own personal strengths and confidence in themselves. Now to the all taboo subject of talking about a womens body in public. Oh lala. As a sexual organism we(in a guys perspective) as humans are naturally inclined to focus on the way a girls ass looks or how much cleaveage shes showing off. It happens. No guy can deny that fact. But the way our generation has become accustomed to is being more selective on a basis of what the other sex looks like instead of a whole. The change has to occur as soon as possible. I didnt want to go into the topic of "hoes" but at this moment it seems inevitable. Women, check it. I read somewhere "become the lady you want your daughter to be and be the woman you want your son to date." These days its okay to be known as a "hoe" with no utter negative conotation behind it. A few years ago if a girl was classified as a "hoe" it was taboo it was a diss. Thats changed. I guess thats an oxymoron in my opinion. But women have to make the change to become better LADIES. Guys we are sexual driven creatures and a lot of us think about that. Get over the fact of getting some. If your worried about when time your gettin head or next time your getting some theres prostitutes around your city. In my eyes being a "hoe" is what the subjagation is. Find a LADY that you want to be with. Ladies heres the deal insecurties are more times than not is secular from others. It's your own mind saying you don't look good or your not this or that. Change that your as pretty as you feel. And the right guy will come along that likes you for your quirkyness or little things that you think are wierd. I wan to address the topic of generalization. I hate it when I see a comment or a status or a tweet that says "all guys are jerks" or "all women are bitches/hoes" . It's never acceptable to generalize that an entire gender is equivalent to your worst experience. Get over the fact you chose the wrong dude or the wrong women. It happens live and learn. As insecurities go for guys it's a little more easier to explain its either the way you look or preformance. Socially we think about how well the other person performs in bed before they think about "is this guy gonna be a good father to my kids?", "can I see myself with him in the future?" or " Is she going to be a good mother to my kids" or even "will I love her 20 or even 30 years down the line?". As I was talking about earlier its simply be confident. As far as preformance goes practice makes perfect and im pretty damn sure no woman expects perfection all the time. If you dont know what the hell your doing let her take control... Trust issues are a big problem for women from my perspective. I feel like women allow themselves to be more succeptable to being hurt and betryed by guys/girls. We all hope that the person we're with has the best intentions for us and relationship as a whole but we all know thats not always evident to hold true. Take the time to find your answers as to why it happened and move on. If you sulk and stay in that mindstate for too damn long you may be giving up great oppurtunites that could change your mind greatly. And to the nitty gritty shit. Why are you in a relationship? This question should float around your mind when your in the "talking" stage. Think about why your wanting this realtionship. Is it mutual?, Is it one sided?, Is it just to hook up? Think about it first before you jump into something. On the flip side why wouldnt you be in a relationship with this person? On that note heres what I need to say. Fear is a great force that can control us and hinder us immensly not just realtionships but in our lives in general. Dont let fear be your excuse for not attempting a relationship or even continuing a realtionship. My greatest question that I want to ask those who are in between is what attributes about this person makes them suitable for you and is this person the absolute perfect or closest match to what youve always wanted? If your already in a realtionship ask yourselves these question or ask your significant other these questions. Its always refreshing to know where they stand and their ideas and thoughts on the subject. And last but not least "The Perfect Relationship" it exists but not the way your thinking about it. As cliche as it sounds its the best comprimise that can exist between you and your partner. The perfect relationship is one that has problems but has enough strength for it to overcome them. The perfect relationship is one that can trust the other to go out with their friends to the club and know theyre going to be faithful. The perfect relationship is the happiness their presence can provide you. When ever this person walks into the room you have the same feelin when you first met them. To all my single people check it. Now this Valentines Day Use your birth control if you have it. Guys get a new condom not the one thats been in your wallet for the last however long. Yall Be Safe And Smart. I would love your thought on this and every other blog below in the comment section. Enjoy
